An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Administration team at Portland District Health.

As an Administration clerk you are a vital member of the administrative support team.  The administrative responsibilities encompass high level front line customer service with accurate collection of critical data and efficient administration processes.  It involves working within a team and liaising with clients, visitors, staff and health professionals.  Good problem solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills are essential.  A helpful, respectful and approachable attitude is expected.

About you:

  • Demonstrated Administrative clerical experience
  • Demonstrated high computer literacy with data entry skills
  • Ability to determine priorities, multi-task and organise workload effectively and efficiently
  • Striving for a high standard of excellence with work processes and outcomes.
  • Striving for high customer satisfaction with a helpful and friendly attitude when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Being respectful, approachable and team oriented, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
  • Taking ownership of your work, doing what is needed without being asked and following through when required.
  • Being receptive to feedback, willing to learn, embracing continuous improvement
  • Ability to use a variety of computer software.
  • Cert III or Cert IV in Business administration regarded favourably
  • Medical Terminology certificate - desirable

Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established in 1856 on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:
