An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Assistant Director of Nursing to join the team at Portland District Health.
The role of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to provide operational leadership and management within Portland District Health to meet the strategic plan. The incumbent is a senior nurse who is able to offer assistance to clinical divisions and be a human / management resource especially out of business hours. All interactions with staff, patients and relatives is guided by the organizations values of wisdom, courage and compassion.
About you:
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with current registration
- Advanced Life Support qualification
- Minimum of 6 years clinical experience in a variety of clinical areas
- Relevant post graduate human resource management or leadership/management qualification
- Experience planning and delivering high-quality communications through a variety of channels on time
- Demonstrated experience of management and leadership across multiple nursing scopes of practice
- Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team
- Advanced understanding and knowledge of clinical nursing and clinical risk management
- Previously worked in a similar position
