An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Allied Health team at Portland District Health.

As the Allied Health Manager, you will lead an integrated multidisciplinary health care team overseeing the operations of allied health clinicians and allied health assistants across inpatient and community settings. This role providers leadership and management/clinical oversight (60%) and client attributable activity (40%). 

The Allied Health Manager is an active member in the broader Primary Care Directorate, bringing both strategic and operational planning skills to support the growth and development of the service aligning with our community needs.

About you:

  • Relevant degree in an allied health discipline with current registration with the APHRA, or membership with relevant professional body or association – is essential
  • Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience as a clinician - essential
  • Post graduate qualification in Leadership or Management - desirable
  • Experience working in a rural or regional healthcare setting
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary issues pertaining to allied health and allied health services in Victoria
  • Demonstrated experience of management and leadership across multiple allied health disciplines and Allied Health Assistants.
  • Significant level of allied health skills and is easily identified as a role model of clinical competence
