An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join the Acute Care team at Portland District Health.

 

As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you ensure all consumers are receiving the highest level of personal and clinical care.  You contribute to an environment that is conducive to person centred care which fosters a culture of consumer engagement and partnership.  You are responsible for delivering safe and effective personal care and clinical care, in accordance with the consumer’s needs, goals and preferences to optimise their health and well-being.  You provide leadership and professional expertise to nursing and support staff working in the clinical unit/department.  Night shift position.  Must be Australian resident to apply.

 

About you:

  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Significant clinical knowledge and level of nursing skills which identifies you as a role model of clinical competence
  • Demonstrated understanding of the needs, issues and sensitivities of people from diverse backgrounds
  • Proven commitment to flexibility and innovation in practice including an evidence-based approach to person centred care
  • Demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional development, including use and deployment of communication applications and technology

Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established in 1856 on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:
