An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified administration officer to join the Harbourside Lodge administration team at Portland District Health.

Harbourside Lodge is a residential aged care facility providing accommodation and healthcare to the community and the administration officer is essential to the contribution of a high quality service.  You are responsible for providing front line customer service and administration services to support the daily operations of Harbourside Lodge.  The position requires good communication, time management and team skills to work effectively with consumers/participants, families, staff, health professionals and visitors.

About you:

  • Certificate III Business Administration or Finance
  • Administration experience, with evidence of reporting directly to management roles
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate respectfully and confidentially with consumers/participants, families, visitors and other PDH employees with people at all levels and vary communication style accordingly
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise daily workflow and tasks
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Previous similar experience in health administration
