ADMINISTRATION OFFICER - SERVICE PROVISION

An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified administration officer to join the Community Aged Care Services team at Portland District Health.

 

The service Support Officer reports directly to the Rostering Team Leader, responsible for staff rostering and schedules to ensure continuity of services, to our clients, processing of timesheets and other administrative duties.  Identifying areas of improvement; and providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders are essential to the role. 

 

About you:

  • Certificate III or Certificate IV in Aged Care, from an Australian registered training organisation or recognised equivalent qualification.
  • A combination of relevant training, experience and administrative knowledge deemed to be appropriate to the department.
  • Excellent knowledge, skills, and experience in the delivery of duties to support clients within the community,
  • Experience in a fast-paced office environment, the ability to be flexible, demonstrate a willingness to learn, attention to detail and maintain confidentiality,
  • Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks and competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently when required but also to work cooperatively and supervise other Health Care Workers as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with strong customer service skills and an ability to effectively engage with a wide diversity of people.
  • Good computer literacy, including ability to access and utilise organisational IT systems and emerging technologies which are relevant to the completion of clinical care.
