An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Pharmacy team at Portland District Health.
In this role you will be responsible for the provision and maintenance of high quality, efficient and innovative pharmacy services and operations. Supervision of daily operations and line management of a team within department portfolio for delivery of effective pharmaceutical care. Provision of hospital pharmacy services to ensure safe, appropriate and efficient drug use within Portland District Health and on transfer to the community setting. Days of work will be Monday to Friday.
About you:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree with current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA
- Relevant Postgraduate qualifications at Masters level is desirable
- Considerable previous hospital and clinical pharmacy experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of all relevant aspects of hospital pharmacy, in particular, ability to practice in accordance with Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA) Guidelines
- Demonstrated ability to manage a small team of qualified staff and to ensure performance of that team meets expected standards
- Experience producing and providing a range of reports, including financial, drug usage
- Excellent communications skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
