We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Health Information Manager, although consideration will be given to individuals who can demonstrate appropriate knowledge and understanding of the role with a commitment to complete a recognised qualification.
About you:
- Recognised Health Information Management qualification and/or suitable experience in a similar role is essential
- Membership with HIMAA or a commitment to attain membership is essential
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work within timeframes and guidelines for various reporting systems
- Previous health information management experience including records management
- Strong leadership capability to lead and drive success within a team to maximise performance
- Highly developed problem-solving skills that lead to positive outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in the collection, extraction and analysis of data, including the submission of data to external parties
- Clinical Coding skills is desirable
- Knowledge of the Victorian Health sector mandatory reporting requirement and data submission processes is desirable
