An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Occupational Therapist to join the Allied Health team at Portland District Health.
This position is a generalist occupation therapy caseload that involves treating a diverse range of conditions across various patient demographics. Working with a multidisciplinary Allied Health team, clinicians applying for this position must have sound understanding across the following areas: inpatient general med and orthopaedic caseload; and community outpatient clinics, in particular aged care services; working with and delegating tasks to Allied Health Assistants. This role requires adaptability and broad expertise to deliver personalised care in different clinical settings. This role will require the clinician to work as a sole practitioner on occasion.
About you:
- Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, and holds a current registration
- Post Graduate clinical qualification(s) in speciality area of practice
- Extensive clinical knowledge, skills and leadership experience in occupational therapy
- Demonstrated sound advanced clinical assessment and analysis skills and knowledge, and ability to implement indicated treatments for individuals and groups.
- Understanding of relevant accreditation and funding systems, and demonstrated ability to manage continuous improvement portfolio
- Demonstrated computer literacy, including ability to access and utilise organisational IT systems and emerging technologies which are relevant to the completion of clinical care
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs, issues and sensitivities of people from diverse backgrounds
