An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join the Chronic & Complex Care team at Portland District Health.
You support the delivery of high-quality clinical care by applying sound decision-making and contributing to the effective and efficient operation of your unit/department. ou foster an environment that promotes person-centred care, encouraging a culture of engagement, collaboration, and partnership. ou actively contribute to quality, safety, and risk management initiatives within the Primary Care Services division. ou support a culture aligned with the organisations’ values, ensuring a consistent focus on putting the consumer first. About you:
- Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, and holds a current registration with a minimum of three years’ experience in relevant clinical area
- Post Graduate clinical qualification(s) in speciality area of practice or willingness to undertake further study.
- Membership of an appropriate professional association - desirable
- Clinical knowledge, skills, and leadership experience in nursing speciality of non-admitted care for outpatient facility or clinics.
- Demonstrated level of nursing skills, which is easily identified as a role model of clinical competence.
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs, issues, and sensitivities of people from diverse backgrounds
- Understanding of opportunities and challenges associated with providing rural health care services

Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established in 1856 on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:
- Hospital based Medical and Surgical services, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Pharmacy and Pathology
