PRACTICE NURSE - PRIMARY CARE

An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join the Primary Care team at Portland District Health.

You ensure all consumers are receiving the highest level of clinical care by providing a level of decision making and contribution to ensure the effective and efficient operations of your unit/department.  You manage an environment that is conducive to person centred care which fosters a culture of engagement and partnership.  You contribute to the quality, safety, and risk management programs for the division of Primary Care Services and contribute to an environment that is conducive to deliver the four quality goals which are focused on putting the consumer first in everything we do. About you:

  • Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency, and holds a current registration with a minimum of three years’ experience in relevant clinical area
  • Post Graduate clinical qualification(s) in speciality area of practice or willingness to undertake further study.
  • Membership of an appropriate professional association is desirable
  • Clinical knowledge, skills, and leadership experience in nursing speciality of non-admitted care for outpatient facility or clinics.
  • Demonstrated level of nursing skills, which is easily identified as a role model of clinical competence.
  • Understanding of relevant accreditation and funding systems and demonstrated ability to manage continuous improvement portfolio.
