An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to join the Medical Imaging team at Portland District Health.
The Registered Nurse Medical Imaging works with the multidisciplinary team to assist in preparation of Radiological Interventional procedures, including patient screening, as well as attending IV contrast administration procedures. You will be clinically competent with cannulation and PICC access and have undertaken or will undertake Anaphylaxis training. You will also be responsible for checking and maintaining anaphylaxis and resuscitation equipment and ensure stock levels and consumables are maintained and current. You are responsible for delivering safe and effective personal care and clinical care, in accordance with the consumer’s needs, goals and preferences to optimise their health and well-being. You contribute to an environment that is conducive to person centred care which fosters a culture of consumer engagement and partnership.
About you:
- Currently registered as Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated capacity to undertake any additional training specific to the responsibilities of the role
- Clinically competent to assist in IV contrast administration, including cannulation
- Demonstrated experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to engage and communicate with patients about clinical requirements for procedures and to complete any required documentation
- Excellent communication and team work skills
- Previous similar experience desirable
