ADMINISTRATION OFFICER - VOLUNTEER COORDINATION

An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Access & Intake team at Portland District Health.

Responsible for being the point of contact for consumers and staff by providing customer

service and administrative supports for the Volunteers at Portland District Health (PDH). This involves consulting with volunteers, clients, community members, and staff to coordinate the organization requests for volunteer services.  You will be responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of PDH Volunteers program for the board, various committees, departments and associated services/programs and events at PDH.  You will participate in audits, service evaluation and maintain appropriate policy and procedures in consultation with your manager to ensure program goals and standards are met.

 

Preferred hours are nine days per fortnight at 5.5 hours and one day per fortnight at 4.5 hours, negotiation of alternative working hours can be discussed during interview process.

 

About you:

  • A combination of relevant training and experience in customer service and/or administrative support deemed to be appropriate to the department.
  • Possession of a Certificate 111 Business (Administration) or equivalent qualification - desirable
  • Experience in a fast-paced office environment, the ability to be flexible, demonstrate a willingness to learn, attention to detail and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks and competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work respectfully with those with mental health, substance addiction, or disability difficulties.
